This Girl Can is a celebration of active women who are doing their thing no matter how well they do it, how they look or even how red their face gets.
Developed by Sport England, we want to help women overcome the fear of judgement that is stopping too many women and girls from joining in.

As a Mum, you tend to spend a lot of time ferrying children between various clubs, classes and activities. It can feel impossible to find the time to do any activity for yourself, because you’re too busy! I recently started learning the Korean martial art of Haidong Gumdo after spending 18 months taking my son to classes. I was fed up of being the taxi and wanted in on the fun.
Whilst we train in the same class, neither of us pay any attention to the other. Haidong gives us both time to ourselves, yet joins us in a common interest. It has the perfect combination for women of cardio fitness, core stability, leg work and meditation. Learning something brand new and so unlike your everyday activities means your brain is working so hard you forget that your body is too.
